She adorns teak throughout the cabins, the settee, pilot house, fly bridge, upper deck and all lower decks, and has been kept in a boathouse for her entire life. This gives the new owner a very special treat, minimal UV rays, and no wear and tear do to harsh environment. This has kept her, for the most part, youthful.
Her canvas Bimini top is crisp, and within the cabin all the teak glistens as well as the black leather chairs and settee.
The Perkins 280 turbo M T100 starts first time every time, and she always purrs. This 38’ (42 LOA) is well balanced in rough seas and high winds.
She trawls along at 8 knots sipping 2 1/2 gallons per hour. 600-gallon diesel fuel tank cleaned and inspected in July 2022. 300 gallons of water with an infra-red system and 35-gallon waste tank. She will take you far and wide.
Her recent survey had very few stumbling blocks, all of which have been remedied.
The heat exchanger, oil cooler and aftercooler have been removed and cleaned and reinstalled and all functions fully restored. These usually need service every 6 to 10 years.
September 2024- the bow thruster batteries were replaced with AGM. The batteries, which start the Perkins diesel, have all been replaced with AGM (aggregated glass mat).
The house bank batteries (4 – L 16’s) have been replaced with AGM top-of-the-line. There is an alternator attached to the motor and an inverter which keeps everything in the house bank, tiptop shape electronically.
Although this Boat had radar and automatic steering and guidance, weather station and a chart plotter with radar uva has been replaced with the latest Garmin 2024 equipment. To the tune of $24,000 there are upper and lower 11-inch colored monitors.
The automatic steering mechanisms have both been replaced.
If you want to see a champion engine room, this is it. Plexi-glass guards the flywheel and other potentially dangerous switches for emergency operation of this troller. Beneath the Settee is a large storage compartment with every conceivable record for this boat, appliance and component onboard.
The motor was changed out in 1995 at 1000 meter hours, so the meter counting is 1000 hours more than should be. The true number should be 2900 hours.
